Visitor Terms and Conditions

 

General Admission

All visitors purchasing tickets to the Bahamas Cultural Experience agree to abide by these terms and conditions. Tickets are valid only for the date and time specified at purchase and are non-transferable unless approved by management. Entry may be refused if proof of purchase or identification is not presented at arrival.

Dining Services

Meal reservations must be made in advance and are subject to availability. Dietary restrictions should be communicated at the time of booking; while we strive to accommodate, we cannot guarantee all requests. Payment for meals is required prior to service, and refunds are not issued for missed reservations.

Hosted Programs and Workshops

Participation in hosted programs, workshops, and community events requires advance registration. Attendees must follow all instructions provided by facilitators and respect the cultural practices being demonstrated. The Bahamas Cultural Experience reserves the right to modify or cancel programs at its discretion.

Conduct and Safety

Visitors are expected to behave respectfully toward staff, other guests, and the center’s cultural artefacts. Disruptive, inappropriate, or unsafe behavior may result in removal from the premises without refund. Guests are expected to follow safety instructions and avoid damage to property.  Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

Liability

The Bahamas Cultural Experience is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged personal belongings. By participating in any activity or event, visitors acknowledge and accept any inherent risks associated with cultural demonstrations, workshops, or food consumption.

Photography and Media

Personal photography is permitted for private use; commercial photography requires prior written consent. The center may capture photos or video during programs for promotional purposes. By attending, visitors grant permission for their likeness to be used unless they notify staff in advance.

Refunds and Cancellations

All ticket sales, meal bookings, and program registrations are final. Refunds are only issued if the center cancels an event or service. Changes to bookings may be accommodated at the center’s discretion and subject to availability.

General

These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of The Bahamas.  BCE reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time and without notice.

 

Disputes

Disputes shall first be resolved through good faith negotiations  If unresolved, disputes shall be subject to the applicable laws of the Commonwealth of The Bahamas.

Value Added Tax (VAT)

VAT was introduced in The Bahamas effective 1st January 2015.

Based on the tax scheme, all goods and services sold by BCE might be subject to VAT at the prevailing government rate.  When implemented, based on the rules of the tax scheme, VAT-compliant receipts will be issued.
